Terms of use & licence

The terms on which Ortho Outcomes is offered. Last updated 30 May 2026.

This is information, not legal advice. These terms are a plain-English summary for a demonstration product. Review them, and your clinical-governance obligations, with your organisation’s legal and DPO teams before any production use.

The licence

Ortho Outcomes is offered under a one-time, lifetime licence for a single payment of £49. The licence grants you the right to install and run the self-hosted platform. There is no recurring subscription and no per-seat fee.

What you may do

  • Install and run the platform on hardware you or your organisation control.
  • Use it to record operations and collect patient-reported outcomes.
  • Export your own data at any time.

What you may not do

  • Resell, sublicense or redistribute the software as your own product.
  • Remove or circumvent the licensing mechanism.

Your responsibilities as operator

Because the platform is self-hosted, you are responsible for the environment it runs in: securing the host, applying updates, backing up data, and meeting your information-governance and data-protection obligations as the data controller. Ortho Outcomes provides tooling (audit log, data-rights, anonymised exports) to support this, but the governance responsibility rests with you.

Clinical responsibility

Ortho Outcomes is a tool for recording and analysing outcomes. It does not provide clinical advice and does not replace clinical judgement. Scores, alerts and analytics are aids to review; the treating clinician remains responsible for all clinical decisions.

Warranty & liability

The software is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. For clinical deployments, satisfy yourself through your own validation and governance processes that the platform meets your requirements.

Payments & refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. On this demonstration site, payments run in test mode and no real charge is made. For live deployments, refund terms will be set out at the point of sale.

Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
